WR Refrigeration provides cooling solutions for leading food retail, wholesale, distribution and industry through a network of branches throughout the UK who provide high quality refrigeration and air conditioning solutions, including Planning and Design, project delivery and Planned Maintenance and Reactive Service.  WR Refrigeration’s policy applies to all of its sites and operations and all activities at customers’ sites and stores.

As a socially responsible company WR Refrigeration is fully committed to its environmental management system and achieving ISO14001 and strives to demonstrate continual improvement of its environmental performance and helping its customers manage theirs through its services.  (WR Refrigeration aims to have ISO14001 accreditation by quarter three of 2008).

All members of the team at WR recognise that in their day-to-day activities they impact upon the environment in a number of ways including the use of refrigerants, the production of waste and emissions to air from transport. By impacting on the environment the management and staff recognise the obligation to protect the local and wider environment in which the company operates. This obligation is reflected in the following commitments:

• The establishment and maintenance of an externally certificated environmental management system compliant to ISO14001:2004
• To work closely with WR Refrigeration’s customers at all levels in order to help them reduce their impact on the environment
• A commitment to comply with and where possible exceed all relevant and applicable legal requirements and other requirements to which the company subscribes
• To improve continually WR Refrigeration’s environmental performance through setting and working towards objectives and targets in line with company policy; using measurement to achieve improvements
• Ensuring WR Refrigeration’s service provision activities are carried out in such a way so as to prevent risk of pollution to the environment whilst undertaking planned maintenance and reactive services
• To provide a communication method for this policy to all WR Refrigeration employees, persons working for or on behalf of the company, interested parties and members of the public
• Providing sufficient levels of training to allow employees and contractors to meet their environmental responsibilities

To encourage everyone within the company to act in a way which will enhance rather than harm the environment
